A little about me…

Well hello there, my name is Katie Sandorf. Let’s start from the beginning, shall we? I love big hair, thrifting, going to see bands play, true crime documentaries. I moved to LA from Chicago (I really miss the pizza) in 2002 and have been an esthetician and lash extension artist since 2013.

I had terrible eyebrows. I LOVED Drew Barrymore and was oh-so-goth when I was a teen, so of course I tweezed all of my brows out and they never grew back (you were right, mom!). Like many of the people I meet, I tried everything. Pencils, powders, gels, sealants, growth serums, castor oil, brow extensions and I even had a consultation with a doctor for hair transplantation surgery done to my brows (yes, that’s a real thing). Nothing. Zip. Bad eyebrows.

Enter: cosmetic tattooing. I had my brows tattooed and life improved 200%. I could finally wake up in the morning looking like myself, not the “don’t look at me, I don’t have my brows on yet” self. Swimming, the gym, just a relaxing day at home were suddenly more comfortable because I didn’t have to try and do the “well, if I do my brows, then I guess I should put on a little mascara” and then suddenly I had a full face of makeup on for a spin class. This was IT! You mean to tell me I could offer my clients a solution to their brow woes besides just throwing up my hands and saying “well, this is as good as it’s gonna get, shall I show you how to fill them in?” I completed my initial education and apprenticeship with Crispy Brows and have since continued my education with Kahli Brows, Boleyn Studios, Mara Academy and Shay Danielle.

I cannot imagine having a more rewarding career. Nothing brings me more joy than handing my client the mirror and watching their reaction as they see themselves for the first time with their newly enhanced gorgeousness. I’m grateful every day that I have the opportunity to work so closely with the incredible people that I get to meet.
